Africa must work together – WTM Africa Ministerial Roundtable urges

Africa needs to unite to promote tourism across the continent. That was the key message of today’s inter-ministerial briefing hosted by ITIC.

“Africa is the future – without doubt,” said Dr Taleb Rifai, former Secretary General UNWTO, setting the tone for the rest of the conference. “We’re all Africans: we all came out of Africa. But Africa cannot be what it should be if the continent doesn’t work together.”
