Maldives: The sunny side of life

WHY WE LOVE MALDIVES AND YOU WILL TOO

If all you know about Maldives is luxe overwater villas, think again. While those are certainly there (and you’ll love them!), there’s much more to the Maldives…

The Maldives has one of the most delicate environments anywhere on the planet. Coral reefs form the foundation of the islands. These coral reefs protect the tiny islands and function as their natural defence system.

This unique ecosystem and biodiversity cannot be found anywhere else. There are designated marine areas, nature and biosphere reserves in the 26 atolls of the Maldives to protect the marine species, birdlife and diverse envirovnments.

This tropical wonderland offers idyllic and unspoilt experiences for those looking for a tailor made holiday in paradise. Honeymooners love the Maldives but they’re not the only ones.

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

Families, adventurers, surfers and other water ‘babies’ can head to the natural ‘swimming pool’ and ‘water park’ that is the Maldives. If your idea of watersports is slipping into the warm ocean right from the steps of your private overwater villa, then you’re in the right place too.

The Maldives could also very well have conjured up the ‘idea’ of wellness on their own. Treat yourself to a spa treatment, yoga or take in the sunset. Try your hand at fishing or feast on the local gastronomic delights.

Nowhere else in the world are you more likely to feel like the King and Queen of your very own kingdom than in the Maldives.
