  • Reunion Island is a year-round travel destination. The hot and humid rainy season runs from December to February and the dry season runs from May to November. Even in winter, temperatures hover between a pleasant 18 and 25 degrees Celsius. As you head up into the mountains, the temperatures drop dramatically so pack for all seasons year-round.
  • South African passport holders do not require visas for tourism stays of up to 90 days.
  • Reunion Island is a direct four-hour flight from Johannesburg on Air Austral.
