Wezandla, let’s decorate the world with Africa.

Just when you thought you had seen all there was to see in friendly Gqeberha, tucked away in one of the city’s historical streets, you will find a hidden gem, Wezandla African Craft Traders.

With a true passion for supporting others, a heart to help them grow and a business mind that put it all together, Kevin Boucher opened Wezandla with the will of showcasing the pieces he did not see readily available to the world.

“The unique pieces of locals from all over Africa display so much talent, and it deserves to be seen and supported; I needed to find a way to make that happen for these craftsmen,” explains Kevin.

Bright colours and the smell of wooden carvings take over as you enter the shop, and there is no mistaking that you are in Africa. Handmade, recycled glass bead necklaces, hand-spun and dyed cloth, masterpiece art pieces and furniture are some of what you can expect to find here.

“The intricate work that goes into each piece and the raw materials that are used make everything we sell special. Each piece is ‘Handmade in Africa’ with love,” says Kevin

Wezandla looks to the future as they search surrounding areas to expand their marketplace, potentially other parts of the Eastern Cape or other parts of the country. This quality craftsmanship needs to be displayed for all eyes to truly grasp what talent Africa is host to.

“We would love to assist you in decorating the world with African pieces”.
