The little Long Street restaurant with a big heart

Looking for a bite in the heart of the Mother City? Afro Life Petro’s Kitchen serves the best African cuisine. This dining area provides relaxation, entertainment and networking opportunities for locals and foreign visitors alike.

The owner, Petro Hamadi, has a great passion for promoting local produce. He offers local suppliers the opportunity to provide their services at this outlet. These include local wine distributors and artchar-makers, both items which have become firm favourites with regular patrons.

Pedro’s Kitchen also hosts events regularly. On the first Friday of every month, there is a talent display session where local creatives showcase their talent, from singing to poetry or even fashion designers. On the first Tuesday of each month, Pedro hosts networking sessions where entrepreneurs and start-up hubs exhibit their brands.

Commenting on his initiatives, he says this: “If we can encourage local production, which in turn feeds families and different households, then we would have won against poverty as a nation.”

Pedro’s Kitchen can be found at 230 Long Street in Cape Town, South Africa.
