Stand with SANCCOB
WTM Africa, in partnership with Uthando Africa, commissioned an art teacher to conduct a full-day workshop with children from Portland Primary School. The project featured:
Art & Wildlife Education
- SANCCOB joined the session to provide an educational lesson on penguins, discussing the dangers they face and deepening understanding through interaction with George, a Taxi Dermie Penguin.
- Students received a painting lesson focusing on penguins.

Dual Learning Experience
- The workshop combined wildlife conservation education with a creative art class, engaging young minds in both artistic expression and environmental awareness.
Fundraising & Awareness
- The paintings created during the workshop will be auctioned to raise funds for African penguin conservation.
- Post-WTM Africa Auction Event: Attendees can view the artwork, engage with SANCCOB’s conservation efforts, and contribute to protecting these vulnerable creatures.
- WTM Africa Activation: SANCCOB will also have an activation at WTM Africa, allowing attendees to engage with the organization and the art firsthand.
Every bid helps save penguins
