You’ll hear from influential people who can pass on some great lessons, enabling you to avoid the mistakes of brands who have ‘superficially’ tried to break into the LGBTQ+ market.
Engaging in several educational sessions brings all of the debate about LGBTQ+ travel to the table.
Open your mind to the realities of LGBTQ+ tourism with our in-depth programme, exploring everything from attracting the LGBTQ+ customer to safety and security concerns.

South Africa is a leader in the global struggle for equality and LGBTQ+ civil rights, having become the first country in the world to constitutionally prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation in 1996 and then legalizing same-sex marriage10 years later.
Though challenges still remain on the continent, the landscape is evolving and more countries have decriminalised same sex relationships and are proudly promoting LGBTQ+ adventurers whether they are seasoned or first-time visitors.

EQUAL Africa is proud to partner with
International LGBTQ+ Travel Association (IGLTA).
The International LGBTQ+ Travel Association advances LGBTQ+ travel globally by providing information and resources for LGBTQ+ travelers and demonstrating the significant social and economic impact of LGBTQ+ tourism. IGLTA’s membership includes LGBTQ+ welcoming accommodations, destinations, travel advisors, tour operators, events and travel media in 80 countries.
