Radisson Hotel Group is showing its commitment to reigniting – and growing – the country’s tourism industry while also creating new employment opportunities.
Throughout the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated lockdowns, the hotel group has forged ahead with its expansion plans in South Africa and further afield in Africa, with its new Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre Johannesburg, O.R. Tambo, which opened this October. The new hotel is part of the upscale Radisson brand – the fourth brand and twelfth hotel in South Africa by the Group.
“We are delighted to be able to continue opening hotels, especially during these unprecedented times and within our key markets, such as South Africa. We are grateful to our hotel owners for trusting our brands and people, and our teams for their tireless dedication and passion,” said Tim Cordon, Senior Area Vice President, Middle East & Africa, Radisson Hotel Group.
“To be able to debut a new brand in the country, during this time, is a true milestone and proves our commitment to the South African market, as we aim to become the go-to hotelier for local and international guests, while strengthening the countries tourism industry and creating employment opportunities.”
