Xactavent was started way back in the early days of 2000. Radio was a passion for me and I joined Radio 2000 with a show called Short Circuit and we had technology round table discussions. This led to other stations such as 702, Mix FM and Radio Today clamouring to be a part of this great opportunity of presenting from shows and exhibitions.
Style in IT was our first print magazine and designed for the IT industry as I had over 20 years in the IT Industry.
During this time I was also a tour guide for sports tour company and travelled the world writing great content and presenting from different countries. This led to my visiting over 84 countries and enjoying each moment. City Lodge then signed a contract for an in-room magazine and for a number of years, it was read by millions around the world. The digital space was growing and it was soon apparent this was the way to go. But airlines still required print and Velvet Sky, Nationwide and other airlines carried our publications.
Mobile apps, online radio and TV and animation started to make its appearance and we were there. SA Commuter Radio and TV became the online radio and TV station and our podcast channel was born. Streaming stations throughout the world with the nostalgic radio stories together with great radio stations all made its appearance on our station as well as talk shows recorded by South Africans worldwide. The TV station is now a South African mix of tourism, hospitality, stories and interviews designed to make those who left home, nostalgic. Exhibition organisers now wanted to get in on the action and have us close with our funky and different stand designs, to interview both exhibitors and visitors alike.
Mobile App development now accompanied our growing number of websites with animation, video and so much more. We are now one of South Africa’s largest mobile app developers with the Beezer PWA technology. Digital Magazines began to make an appearance and we found a way to create bookshelves and replace newsletters with fun content and great reading with links to advertisers, video, music and so much more. Catalog’s took on a life of their own and now our customers can whatsapp clients a catalog or simply add it onto their existing websites.
Customers such as Sapro, Champion Tours, H2oNero, Bonamanzi, AfriScientific, Tuishuise, and many more just love the intergration of their magazine and articles with each other and our 1.5m readers locally and abroad just love to read our monthly offer. We also now have our own mail software – Mail Champions, and all our clients are welcome to upload their own database and also use our popi approved confirmed subscribers.
