Q&A with Cecilia Roux

How did the idea for your business come about?

I was General Manager for a major agency and was retrenched after illness and a major operation. So, I then decided to create my own agency based on years of airline and travel experience.

How did you come up with the name for your company/experience?

I was literally at a ‘crosspoint’ and had to decide which way to go. I decided on the most difficult choice.

Who is your ideal customer and why?

Corporate clients. They require a more specialised touch and high-end results. They are also more likely to purchase as they already know exactly what they want.

Why do you offer the very best experience/product for your customers?

With 38 years’ experience and a perfectionist attitude, being well-travelled and the recent addition of a  Wholesale department in conjunction with a friend, we can offer a holistic experience to our clients while mutually benefitting from each other’s experience, contacts and products.

What is your greatest hope for your business?

Now that Covid-19 restrictions are being lifted worldwide, that we can once again serve our clients to the best of our abilities and thrive. We want to serve as an inspiration to others by proving that perseverance in the field you are passionate about truly matters.

What has been the most satisfying achievement in your business?

Being able to be sought out by previous clients (including royalty) after starting my own business, because of my track record with them.

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs who want to get into tourism?

It’s addictive! Welcome to your obsession.

If you could have a do-over, what would you do differently?

Absolutely nothing. My path, even with the heartbreaks, disappointments and hard work led me to this exact place.
