Q&A with Dudley Wessels

How did the idea for your business come about?

Once I became a registered tour guide it made sense to start up the business.

How did you come up with the name for your company / experience?

The name incorporates the elements surrounding the area.

Who is your ideal customer and why?

Small groups of 12 to 16 people because it is more intimate and I can give my individual attention to guests.

Why do you offer the very best experience / product for your customers?

The experience is such a learning curve for customers, and the uniqueness of the area makes it a mind-blowing, unforgettable experience.

What is your greatest hope for your business?

To draw in overseas guests again.

What has been the most satisfying achievement in your business?

The overwhelmingly positive feedback from customers!

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs who want to get into tourism?

Do the best you can, and then do it better.

If you could have a do-over, what would you do differently?

I would have another vehicle available to be able to include less fortunate people on the tours.
