Needles Lodge gets its first international visitors since lockdown

After seven months, Needles Lodge has finally received its first international visitors! The Marcinowski family from Germany recently arrived to explore the wonders of South Africa’s Kruger National Park.

According to Owner-Manager, Denis Goffinet, this is the fifth time Mike and Ines and have visited the country, and the second time with their two daughters. “After their first time in 2007, they knew that they would be back! They normally visit Kruger and Cape Town but unfortunately due to the COVID travel complications Cape Town was not practical this time so they chose to spend more time in the bush after being confined during Germany’s lockdown,” he says.

In his feedback to Denis and his team at the lodge, Mike Marcinowski said: “We love the friendly welcome and hospitality we always receive from South Africans. The wide open spaces and magnificent nature are a huger attraction for us and of course, the food and South African wines are splendid. We always buy South African wines in Germany and have added a few South African dishes to our menus at home! When Ines & I  first came to South Africa in 2007 we were expecting to find a poor developing country but have been pleasantly surprised by the World Class service and hospitality. We were are also quite hesitant to bring the girls the first time but again we discovered how much the staff in all establishments and people of South Africa love children, always treating them with much kindness.”

“Needless to say Mike and family have already reserved their holiday in South Africa for the same period next year and can’t wait to get back!” Denis concludes.
