Shaded by clusters of leafy oak trees and exhibiting Cape-Dutch architecture dating back to the 1700s, the Erinvale Estate Hotel & Spa has become a sought-after retreat for luxury-seeking travellers stopping by Somerset West.
Accommodation
The hotel features a total of 56 stunning en-suite bedrooms with three categories for guests to choose from when booking their rooms, namely luxury, premium, and classic. The luxury rooms are on the ground and first floors overlooking the courtyard. The premium rooms are on the ground floor and lead onto garden patios, offering sprawling views of the Helderberg mountains. Finally, the classic rooms are located in the historic, thatched main buildings amidst the estate’s perfectly manicured gardens.
During lockdown, and at the artistic hands of leading Cape Town interior designer, Clinton Savage, Erinvale underwent a variety of renovations to add those extra special finishing touches. The end result is a reconfigured Manor House with refreshing new guest spaces including a lavish reception area and guest lounge.
Restaurants
Despite being set in the heart of the Helderberg mountain range, Erinvale doesn’t rely on the hypnotically refreshing mountain air and its intricately decorated guest rooms to impress. The hotel is also where guests will be able to tuck into a broad selection of farm-to-fork meals packed full of flavour throughout the duration of their stay. They have the opportunity to select from three unique establishments – the Magnolia Social Dining Lounge, the Oak Terrace & Bistro, and all-new Stefan’s Restaurant: Executive Chef, Stefan Bekker’s passion project boasting a table d’hôte menu (seven or 10 courses) and first opened on 3 November 2021. The menu evolves with the seasons and is inspired by cuisines from all over the globe for a worldly foodie experience to remember.
Spa
The Erinvale Estate Spa prioritises guests’ wellbeing with a wide range of health and beauty treatments and techniques on offer. In order to provide that perfect pamper session, the spa’s staff only use respected product ranges, such as Babor, Mama Mio, TheraVine, and Theranaka.
Golf
Visitors to the Estate can wind down and savour the South African sunshine on Erinvale’s very own 18-hole golf course, complemented by a welcoming club house and a Pro Shop where it’s possible to shop local and international brands specialising golfing gear, essentials, and clothing.
An all-in-one luxury experience for travellers hoping to relax, de-stress, and indulge in the finer things in life.
