Africa Travel WeekThe Click & Drive team are celebrating their first booking having recently hosted a group of travellers on a wine tasting experience in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape.
“We got a call for a group seeking for a booking for the 24th October 2020, to the Cape Winelands for some wine testing,” says Faith Mabureki, a representative from Click & Drive.
“We had been receiving some calls here and there for enquiries but without successful bookings confirmed so we were excited when we got the confirmation with their details for the pick-up. It really was an incredible moment for us as we had not worked since the beginning of South Africa’s lockdown!”
A local tour guide by the name of Emmanuel was assigned the assignment who woke up bright and early to collect the group of guests.
“It had been so long since we booked a tour that I am sure even the bus was surprised, having not been used for a while!” she adds. “We are thrilled that things have picked up for our business and we are so happy to be doing our part and offering affordable domestic rates. It’s a start and we are hopeful that our beloved city of Cape Town’s busy season will return in full force.”
