Africa Travel Week’s virtual Masterclasses will run from September to October. Attendees can engage in a series of educational masterclasses led by industry experts.

PART ONE
Redefining and attracting the post-COVID traveller
The first sessions of masterclasses will unpack who the travellers are that will travel again when restrictions ease. They will identify new target groups and by using examples and exploring case studies, show you how to attract these travellers to your destination or property.

Anthony Berklich is the founder of luxury and experiential travel platform Inspired Citizen. His travels–which average around 200,000 miles per year and tally to over 80 countries on six continents–don’t shy away from the obscure and the world’s remote, hidden gems. When he’s not traveling (or even when he is), Anthony is a travel consultant to destinations, hotels and travel brands worldwide. The Luxury traveller
As luxury travellers’ needs continue to evolve during the era of coronavirus, it becomes more complex to define who they are. By the end of this masterclass, led by travel consultant, Anthony Berklich, you will have a better understanding of who the luxury traveller is and how you can adapt your product to cater for their needs and desires.

What the ‘new normal’ will look like is anybody’s guess, but there is consensus that safety remains the top priority for travellers, and will continue to be so in a current COVID-19 world. In this masterclass Anita Mendiratta will unpack what these travellers will look like and how you can cater to them.

Tanya Churchmuch is the founder of MuchPR, a New York-based PR agency focusing on travel, hospitality and LGBTQ markets. Tanya launched the company after working in-house for Tourisme Montreal in Canada for several years where she oversaw their global PR team and everything related to their LGBTQ PR and marketing efforts. With MuchPR she helps lead the LGBTQ efforts for a national tourism board and supports other DMOs and tour operators in their efforts to authentically and effectively connect with the community.
