How did you fall in love with travelling?

An uncle of mine was an avid world traveller, and he lived in South America and Australia.  His stories inspired me to look at world maps and as I grew older these stories inspired me to travel and explore the world.

What kind of traveller are you?

Five star any time, but I can rough it when needed.

What’s your travel philosophy?

Be respectful to your host country and your hosts. Immerse yourself into local customs and cultural events as much as possible.

What are your top travel essentials?

Sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, chargers and spare batteries. Although, I must admit I, travel heavy and regularly use my two 32 Kgs baggage allowance in business class.

Where was your most memorable trip?

Looking back at my travel life, probably my journey across the Americas to complete the Pan American Highway from Alaska to Tierra Del Fuego.

How has traveling changed your life?

Traveling has BECOME my life.

When you can, where are you travelling to next?

Kenya, Seychelles and visiting my family in Europe.

Best travel advice you can share?

Patience and a friendly disposition, especially during challenging episodes, yields better results than erupting in rage.
