Gwen Strachan – Director, Incredible Experiences

Gwen Strachan’s journey in the travel industry has been ongoing for the last three decades.

From the Southern African shores to her current home in the UK, Gwen has dedicated her time to ensuring that her clients walk away feeling like VIPs. The excitement and joy of her client’s experiences fuel her desire to provide exceptional service to every client, from every walk of life.

Over the last 30 years, Gwen has been involved in travel and event management for various heads of state, leaders in Industry, luxury and other VIP clients. Her experience in Southern Africa included arranging major VIP events for Heads of State in various countries, in some cases those with a severe lack of resources and ensuring that every need was accounted for and met despite any potential constraints.

Gwen opened Incredible Experiences in 2013 in the UK, making good use of the experience gained. Her remarkable insight into what a VIP/Luxury experience entails, gave her the ability to take that knowledge into the broader travel market. Gwen feels strongly that the VIP experience should be the basis of any travel service she provides to her clients. Her ability to anticipate the needs of her luxury and other clients, has ensured that they come back time and time again for all their travel requirements.

Nicci Lenferna de la Motte – Director of Pulse Africa 

Pulse Africa have been in operation for over 30 years, selling luxury safari destinations throughout Southern and East Africa. 

Nicci had a passion for travel instilled in her from a young age. Apart from exploring new destinations, she loves the client interaction and planning stages of an itinerary. 

According to her, understanding what people want and fulfilling their holiday dreams must be the greatest achievement. 

Shirley Long – Director, Lux Leisure Co 

After growing up in Zimbabwe and South Africa, Shirley spent some time in the UK and obtained a degree in Hotel Management. On her return to Africa, she fell into a travel advisor role and haven’t looked back since! 

Shirley worked with some of the most well-known adventure and travel companies in Southern Africa before starting her own small agency in Cape Town in 2007.

Her transition into luxury travel began in 2012, where she started to really appreciate the complexities of what makes a luxury client different from any other. 

She is absolutely committed to ensuring that her clients’ every desire is fulfilled, down to the smallest detail. She leads a small team of advisors who are equally passionately customer-focused, and together they create authentic, high-touch experiences for guests to remember forever.  

Yanir Horowitz – Owner, Yanir Tailor Tours 

Yanir Horowitz was born and raised in Israel. He has more than 25 years of experience in the tourism industry since his days as tour guide and consultant.  

A decade ago, yes, this year he marked 10 years of owning his company Yanir Tailor Tours a boutique tour operator company which specialises in custom made programs for individuals and small groups with the emphasis on getting to know the destination.  

Yanir is part of the LGBTQ community, lives in the Tel Aviv area with his partner and is a proud member of the IGLTA and other luxury and tourism organizations.
