How did the idea for your business come about?
Africa is a large continent with so much to see and as a destination for people abroad it is not high on their list. As for accessible travel in Africa that is even worse, and it is our aim to change that!
How did you come up with the name for your company/experience?
We wanted an indigenous name and chose the Swahili word for ‘explore’.
Who is your ideal customer and why?
Why do you offer the very best experience/product for your customers?
Because we only do Africa – and so have to be exceptionally good at what we do.

What has been the most satisfying achievement in your business?
Being asked to chair a webinar on accessible travel in Africa to the world through The Africa Hub (ATTA).
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs who want to get into tourism?
Do your homework and know your product.
If you could have a do-over, what would you do differently?
I would have started the business when it first came to mind ten years ago.
