Working her way up the ladder since 2006 as Event Coordinator and Account Manager for a very prominent South African events company she was recognised in 2016 as one of the Top 40 Women in the Meetings, Incentives, Conference & Events Industry of South Africa.
Nina Freysen-Pretorius

In 2008 Nina was invited to serve on the ICCA Board as Chair of the ICCA Africa Chapter then as a Board representative for the Africa/Middle East Regions. In 2009 Nina was invited to serve on the ICCA Management Finance Committee and in 2010 was voted as 2nd vice-Chair of the ICCA Board. On the 2nd of November 2014 Nina was voted as the President of the ICCA board and again for a second term in November 2016. Nina currently serves on the ICCA Management and Finance Committee as the Immediate Past President.
Rudi van der Vyver

Rudi van der Vyver is an industry patron and the Chief Executive Officer for We Are Virtual, a virtual/hybrid Event Management and Production company focused on delivering unique and innovative virtual and hybrid eventing solutions to clients. Prior to this role Rudi was appointed as MD of EPH Events after his tenure as CEO of the Southern African Association for the Conference Industry (SAACI). Rudi having successfully completed the international masterclass on the Neuroscience of Event Design and Architecture is one of only 18 event practitioners in Africa to hold this distinction.

Tes is serving as president of SITE Africa (Society for Incentive Travel Excellence) and is founder of Crystal Events Africa DMC. Her career started out in the hotel industry as a management trainee with Southern Sun Hotels in 1985. This was followed by opening Gallagher Estate in 1993 where she had to learn all about exhibitions very quickly! She spent a number of years with Sun International between Sun City and Swaziland before she was eventually head hunted and ventured into the world of DMC’s.
